3rd day in a row now, same section of the lake shore ... not sure about you lot but I'm not getting bored with the birds. So peaceful out there with just the bird calls around.

She's a bit drab. You should see her male counterpart ... bright yellow body with deep black and bright white around the throat and head.

I have to say I'm very pleased with the birds I've found on these short walks near home over the past few days. I didn't know this trail existed until a few days ago.

A really nice variety there too! Lovely shots, M.A. I like how those little ones have the perky little tails. :)

Aw, I'm getting jealous. Here you are on a nice trail with birds all around and I'm staring at spreadsheets.

These are really great, sharp photos of pretty small looking birds. In checking your EXIF data, you seem to be using a 22 mm lens (f8, 1/640, iso 250). Is that right? I thought in another post you mentioned a 400 mm. And these seem to be telephoto shots for sure. Anyway, I love the detail and coloring, and the sense that you are there with the tiny creature in the big forest.

In checking your EXIF data ...
There's your mistake! No point looking at my EXIF I'm afraid because it's totally wrong. It also says I took it back in 2010. The data is from the first image I placed on that border in Photoshop. They were definitely taken with my 400m L Series lens. Settings are around the 400 ISO, 1/500th, f6.3.

I'm glad you like them.

Thanks for clearing that up. That makes way more sense.

They are all very nice, MA! I find it very difficult to shoot these kind of small birds. I think a 400mm might help a bit. I also like the catchlights. Did you use a flash for that? or they are just natural light.

Thank you. I always use a flash for these shots Yisehag.

Another beautiful set of such a variety MA. Looks a lot like the size of our Warblers over here, and I know what they are like to shoot.:wall-an: Very well done on all.
The 400mm F5.6L is one lens I would like to get, especially for in-flights, as it is so nice and light, and amazing sharpness.

Light??? Well compared to a 600mm maybe ... or a moose. :)

Thanks Maw. I have a book ... with pictures ... and I can read it ;)

I don't know their real names though so I just call them all 'Fred'
