Here is a shot I took today. I have thousands of bear shots. They are everywhere up here. I deal with them directly or indirectly everyday.
This big boar didn't budge. He saw me and sat right down. He knew he was in charge.

I am obviously no professional. As I've said before I mostly take shots so I can show other ppl where and how I live. As proof. It may be a lot to ask. But I would love to see what ppl would do to edit and help a photo like this. I would not have a clue where to begin. I have never tried editing before.

I quickly edited this one, and I also am no professional but I think it cleaned up a little. You should start trying to edit some of your photo's as you obviously have some nice shots that could be much more appealing with some editing. There's only one way to learn and that's to dive in and start doing it.

What's the difference between Canadian and American Black Bears??
Do the Canadian ones say "Pardon me ... sorry about eating you" whereas the American ones just say "One small bite for me, one giant bite for bearkind!" ???

Wow. Turns. It looks great. The blues coming out in the fur are fascinating I really appreciate it. It's of my favorite shots now. I will absolutely start messing around with editing. Those changes made it completely different. I really am impressed. Thank you so much!

American bears drink lighter beer?
Sorry. It's just a black bear. There is of course no difference aside from geography.

Amazingly close shots Hunter, I really envy you.
Which actual lens are you using? If you are using a lens without Image Stabilization I would suggest a monopod to steady these shots. I know a tripod is out of question in line of work and areas you are shooting. (believe me, I know!)
I took a stab at that head shot. Was quite blurry, but did what I could.

very cool captures, as to editing - what software do you have?

If I am being embarrassingly honest. I am sure that I have nothing more than whatever comes with a computer.
To explain myself. I wish I could get not photography and all it entails. However, it's has been many years si ce. Electricity, running water, or Internet has been available.
I am not far enough out of the bush that those things are now available. So, if you could point me in the right direction or suggest so ething I would be excited to get started.
I have a few posts now. Perhaps that may help you decide what may be appropriate. I will be posting more shortly as well. And I appreciate your reply. It's just the kind of advice I need.
