Here's a shot of Baci, AKA Tony the scavenger, Jimmy Back-kicks, and a few more nicknames. He's been waking us up to cuddle at 3 :30am, but not in a gentle way. He rams his little head into us repeatedly and whips us in our faces with his rat-tail; all the while purring loudly and contentedly, of course. He's also totally obsessed with food - but that's a whole other issue, lol.

He's hard to catch as he's a fidgety bugger, but he does dig the sun. He could look cleaner in places because he hasn't had his weekly bath yet. That should be fun - He is supposed to get them weekly (Sphynx requirement due to excessive oil buildup) and i doubt he's ever been bathed wish me luck!.....Feel free to comment/critique any aspect.

Thx! Marko

Wow! Well, you certainly got his eyes sharp! You could cut diamonds with those eyes ;) You really should have told him to get dressed though, not sure if you noticed but he forgot to put on his fur!

Great shot!

Reason #1 to like my furred cats - they bathe themselves. Yes, it is stinky, but at least I don't have to do it. I got it bad enough what with the turd-shoveling.

Love that shallow dof Marko, brings the attention to those amazing sharp eyes and head features.

That's a face with personality! Good luck with the bath. I've done one or two of them using a pillow case to contain the cat. It's still a hazard to life and limb.

Just outta curiosity Marko do these cats clean themselves like furry cats do? Also interesting that there are no whiskerswhich for some reason I would have thought they would have.

Thanks so much for the comments - God bless my 105mm nikkor on this one, I'd shot MANY portraits with this lens already even though most people buy it for Macro.

These cats do indeed groom themselves as other cats do (grooming is hardwired behaviour in all domestic cats). A cat that stops grooming itself is generally in a nervous state or ill.
Our cats need the extra bath because their skin gets too oily and there's no hair/fur to absorb the oil.

and yup - no whiskers in some hairless breeds. (some do some don't). Personally I love whiskers but both our newly adopted sphynxes are whisker free.
