I just finally, watched this on Netflix and it is one hell of a documentary. I am surprised Michael has not mentioned it, or perhaps he has and I just missed it. Well worth the watch. I am kind of proud this was a Canadian film. :)

One of the major topics of the film is about how corporations tried to take away people's free access to water in third world countries and how they stood up to fight against it.

On a side note, the Calgary Folk Fest has prohibited the sale of bottled water on the grounds as of this year and it was heavily promoted and sponsored by the Toronto Dominion Bank. Their reasoning behind this is that people should not have to pay to have clean potable water. This is a major issue that will become more and more important in the years to come. Also, in Canada and the U.S. where we have all the clean water we could hope for but choose to pay for bottled water, we are creating one of the worst pollution disasters and it is totally unnecessary.

It is a great doc and I didn't mention it because...Well...How much of this stuff can I mention? I was directed to it by a member who'd posted to some other stuff I HAD mentioned. We are becoming nothing more than a commodity to be steered around and manipulated to suit investors whims and pocketbooks. As an aside, my cats can't drink bottled water because they start throwing up after a few days:headslap:
