Well the deal for the new Condo that was supposed to close on July 15th but that did not happen turns out there was a tax lean on it which they kept delaying dealing with but they finally did. So I have lost 2 weeks extra (well almost 3 actually) I was suppose to have for moving is gone although I am lucky that I still have over 3 weeks for the move. I almost backed but my house is sold and I do have to be out by the end of August so I am glad it worked out and I doubt I would have I been able to find a house and close with the time I have left. I did fight for and get financial compensation for the delay. So it has delayed a lot of things like redoing my websites and such since I have been in a state of limbo for over two weeks now. So I will not be around much until after this is all done and then I can get back to working and not dealing with all this nonsense.

wow, I'm glad it all worked out. I am sure that it was very frustrating but it's good that you'll be able to move forward ( get it? move forward? ;))

it's amazing what a time suck and emotional drain moving is!!!!

I hate moving and I have been in this house 15 years so lots of stuff I have to go through and probably going to toss a ton of stuff that I probably forget I even have lol.

That sucks AL...I hate it when you have to depend on others for something and they don't fulfill their end of the deal. I hope you get some restitution.
Btw, I take possession of my new place tomorrow at noon! I too have 3 weeks to move in but I have the contractors in over the next 3 weeks redoing the whole place...new kitchen, bath, floors, doors etc.
Then it's http://images.paraorkut.com/img/emoticons/images/d/dog-67.gif time!!!!!

Well after meeting his new lawyer today it appears we are on the same page for the compensation numbers. Final meeting and signing tomorrow so I am once again stoked about moving. You are really smart in how you are doing the reno's. You are not in their way, they are not in yours and your furnishings do not risk getting damaged. I am carrying insurance on both places for the month so I do not have to worry about something going wrong at either place and not being covered and for the cost I feel it is more than worth it. I am only getting the new place painted and a few minor upgrades before I move in, just bizarre that I am actually having to pay to get it done lol.

Well moving day is Thursday morning 9am! Unfortunately the renos are not quite done so I'll be sleeping on a matress on the floor in the lovely cool basement (it's 30 degrees here this week so I;m okay with it). The renos should be finished by Friday next week.
Bear (the mutt) comes Friday, new furniture Saturday. I am taking Tues off as well as the carpet guy comes that day and I don't want the dog to get too upset with all the banging and noise. He will be going to the doggy spa that morning for a much needed bath and groom and clip (I discovered last week and realized that he is well beyond my grooming capabilities at this point so I figure good to start off with a pro doing it then I can keep up with the brushing and cleaning after) and playtime with other dogs...hopefully he will be okay with it.
Wow...coming like a freight train...a bit scary and just super exciting all at the same time....gives me butterflies thinking about it. :)

Congrats Casil, great it is moving forward. and your personage will now be living in your new abode I am 3/4 moved in and by Monday it will be 99% and then I can get back to living lol. Still squeezing photography in, did a CD release party last night for a local band, hanging a couple pieces in two small shows currently, so hoping once settled I will be as happy as pig in a poke and will a very cool photography area and a place for a small photo area.. It seems to have been the summer of moving, looking forward to the laid back mood of the fall after all this summer of change. Leaving a place after 15 years of raising a family and the changes makes that have happened made me reflective in a very cool way. We bought this house instead of having a big wedding and one of the best decisions we ever made but the important part the entire clan is following lol. So in two weeks I should be back more often around these parts and finally I will have a decent film developing area I have been wanting a couple of years now.

Congrats back attcha AL! I am in the new place and as I type, the dog is fast asleep at my feet. Still lots of unpacking to do but I have to wait until the renos are done this week, then I can get the rest done.
Doggy shot to come shortly but he's a beauty and settling in slowly but surely. :)

Great the pup is settling in nicely, un packing is another matter altogether I have a few things to move today and maybe a minor cleanup tomorrow but for the most part almost done and I think my high strung pup will be needing meds once we move lol, (just kidding about the meds, I like his nuttiness), So not much more in reno's left to do Casil? I also think unpacking is more work than packing.

IT IS ALL DONE WOOHOOOOOOOOOO, now just the unpacking and setting up everything, I look around in fear of the work that still needs to be done. I woke up this late afternoon and could not believe I am in my new home, then the boxes and all the furniture that needs to be done is going to be a daunting task. Oh well the worst is done and that is all that matters and now to make it into a home.
