This is a little spot just north of Atlanta right in the middle of Roswell. It is the former location of a cotton mill that dates back to the 1830's and was where the Roswell Gray wool came from that Confederate uniforms were made from during the Civil War. Which is what led to it being burned when Sherman came through. It was rebuilt though and operated until 1975 and did not run off electricity from the grid until 1947. The actual mill is gone but there are still some of the other buildings left as well as some of the old housing that the workers lived in. The dam is still there all though it is showing its age and has water coming through it everywhere.

OK, here's a question. How come my photos are getting a real grungy look when I upload them? I have tried a few different places including my own server and they all wind up looking worse than they do viewing them on my hard drive. Any way to avoid it?

Well apparently nevermind about the photo quality issue, think I figured it out. Firefox updated automatically last night and it now really messes with photos. They look fine in IE and Safari. Hopefully they fix it!

Not for the most part. had a friend that said he is having the same problem since updating last night though. Switched to Safari and all is fine now.

Sounds like your main problem is with Firefox. However files should be less than 275K. See the following link.

Ok. Was not sure if that was the same if hosting them elsewhere.

I really like #2 and #3 in this set. Cool looking place to photograph. As for the image issues, I use Chrome so I can't say if it's Firefox causing your problems or not but I can say that every place you upload images to treats them differently. The 275KB / 1024 pixel settings is for this board. I know another one that I've been on wants them less than 150KB. Not sure what kind of processing Flickr, Facebook and others do but I know they fiddle with them after you upload.

Really like that first one, especially the PP work. Very nicely done.

2nd one, especially for the colors, and 3rd one, especially for the leaves scattered along the rocks.
