looks alright....... imo i would clone out the horizontal foliage... a bit distracting...

Agree with Travis on the clone. I might also burn the stem a wee bit and dodge the bkgd. a bit more as well to bring a bit more green out.

I like the fact that the dandelion is sharp.

Everything looks about right in this one. If you want a more artistic comp
make your subject fill only 30% to 40% of the frame (zoom out a bit) and
also place your subject off center. Hope this helps.

Take care,

Awesome first post! Very well done :). You are well on your way it would appear :). I should be asking you for tips instead of the other way around :). On a personal note, I would like to see more DOF in the image, not so much that the stem is sharp, but I would like to see a bit more of the dandelion... does that make sence?

Thank you all very much. It just goes to show how my eye has to be trained more, I didn't even notice the horizontal foliage. I get how to clone that out but I'm not really sure what burn and doge mean. Could some one explain.

As for giving you tips Paula...not even close. Your DOF suggestion does make sense. Thanks

Thanks everyone I look forward to posting more and getting all of your feedback, its great !

burn = darken
dodge = make lighter
Hope that helps
