Snuck in a visit to this little guy while the scouts were on the trail this past weekend. Actually I drove up on it while shuttling cars and had forgotten it was right by the road. It's under 10 foot tall and the flow is real low with the continuing dry spell we are in. Actually had to make two visits, the first was in the morning and the sunlight was speckled over it and was not good for photos so I ran back up to it mid afternoon and it was almost to dark by then. A tip if you ever come to the north GA mountains to shoot, the golden hour does not exist! Middle of the day is your best bet on most waterfalls.

Fall preview. Even with the temperature. Had one scout that found that out after only bringing a hammock and a sheet. :headslap:

I especially like the 3rd one. The second one puzzled me for a moment. I couldn't decide whether it was the natural colors or partly converted to black and white. It took seeing the spots in the leaves to figure it out. It mostly works. It was the strength of the greens that had me questioning what I was seeing.

Shots 2 and 3 for me please. Shot 2 is really intriguing to my eye - can I try an edit LQ?

Sure play around with it. I did what I thought worked the best since I think the fading light cased any color to vanish from the water. Would love to see what you can come up with.

Nice photos. I like the foreground detail in that second one!
