Wound up getting call the work day early this morning after a long week and since the weather has turned around to the awesome side of the spectrum I decided to hit the gravel in the mountains. This is Horse Trough Falls. It's the only one I made it to since the other one I had planned on had the gate locked and the third one was barely a trickle. This one is actually way low from what is normal as well but I made the best of it and got an angle that normally would not be possible, from the middle of the stream bed instead of the observation deck. ( Don't tell the forest ranger though  ) Cool thing about the area here is that I took this at 3 this afternoon and was still able to pull off a 20 second exposure. Granted we have no golden hour though in trade.

This bridge on the trail to the falls has the honor of being the first bridge of hundreds that cross the Chattahoochee River between here and Florida where barges run up the river. Here I hardly got the sides of my boots wet. But it is much nicer on this end!

Wind was real whippy today so the trees got a bit blurred.

Both very nicely done, but that second one is just gorgeous. Love the composition, the softness of the water motion, and the sharpness of the foreground and centre subject. Just an overall perfectly balanced, pleasing to the eye capture.

both are terrific. all those fallen leaves just give it life somehow.

I feel like I'm in an Australian rainforest! This could so easily have been taken here. Very nice exposures and clarity in both.

Thanks everyone!

Funny how a bunch of dead stuff can give it life!
