I went up the Mt. Hale in the NH White Mountains yesterday and spent a lot of time tripping over rocks and roots, craning my neck to see -

Most of the color here are sugar maples (two on the left), the green is an oak and some of the bright yellow are birch leaves (yellow birch). The day was perfect and even though I've lived in NH all my life and seen dozens of autumns, it never gets old.

Nice. was doing the same thing yesterday down here in the mountains. And on the way home while ago noticed that the trees in the north Atlanta area all of a sudden changed this morning, must have been the taste of water from a light rain we have.

Lovely autumn colours, WD. Good on ya for taking a moment to look up! We haven't seen much of that around here yet as we're a little late this year... this week and next I think.
