They do look like killdeer. Noisy beggars. Nice shots. The first one is terrific.

I love the composition of the first image! My eye follows the gaze of the kildeer to the waves and the waves move to the small rock. The large rock detail then grabs my attention and then I'm back to the bird. The plastic-like sheen on the water is also nice.

Love the sharpness of these. Cute birds, I can't believe they could be mean enough to kill a deer
