I like the overall comps here Yisehaq. Shot 3 is my fave here and looks the sharpest. Too bad about the harsh shadows.
Overall, Eyes could be sharper though, on a few shots focus looks missed by a hair and on a few the shutter speed (by looking at yr exif data) is too slow imo - and yup I know how hard it is to get sharp bird eyes.
I don't shoot birds much but when I do - shutter priority at a minimum of 1/400 or so. My fave speeds are 1/500-1/1000 but that depends on the light....(Just my 2 cents, but like I said i don't shoot birds that often....too busy fussing w/my cats :) )

Thanks Marko! I totally agree. But my 75-300 sigma lens auto focus has died and all this was done with manual focusing. These birds are so small and very motile. This made it a bit difficult. :wall-an:

I hear ya Yisehaq - I know birds are VERY hard.
maybe others can chime in here, but when i focus on a bird in a tree I'm on MANUAL. I find the little autofocus sensor difficult to control.
When they fly though I'm usually on autofocus.

Both are nice sets! The variety in colour is awesome...and all in one tree!

I am sure you would! The variety in a very small area was so amazing!
