It's been a long time since I last had a go at photographing smoke, so thought I'd give it another go.... I still need to work on getting a sharper focus.

I quite like shot 3 here - l dig the colours and it looks very outer-spacey.
I'd likely burn in the white meat at the bottom left and maybe a tad at right mid edge as well as my eye wants to exit the frame in those places.
Fun play Richard!

Very cool play. Are you lighting with gels or are you colouring in post? It looks like post work to me but you never know.

I did do some playing with burning the edges, but couldn't decide on it... I'll have another look at it.

Well assessed Iggy, The colouring's all post work, I might have ago with some gels and see what happens on my next attempt.

Very cool Richard, and another vote for that last shot.

I recommend gels for less postprocessing work. Lee has a sample filter pack (of maybe 100 sample filter colours) that some photogs have. Just tape the sample to the flash-head.

I've got the rosco strobist collection gels, I'll try and give it another go this week.

Mmmmm, I knida like the light shot, the first one ... it has a nice composition, and it looks really ethereal ... almost looks like a boxing glove is getting ready to throw the last blow
