Just as the title says,

Stanley Kubricks Photos of 1940s New York (http://imgur.com/a/NLOQa)

Kubrik the great filmmaker had his start as a photographer and I really like his work.

I look at as many street photos from the first half of the century as I can. I often think though that the street photographers of yore in most instances weren't all that great but the subject matter itself is what I look at. For me, most of the attraction comes from seeing buildings, cars, people, situations, historical moments, etc. that you have never personally seen and more importantly, nor will you ever get to. They are gone. Is it the attraction to a simpler time?
