John Gillespie Magee was an American aviator and poet who died as a result of a mid-air collision over Lincolnshire during World War II. He was serving in the Royal Canadian Air Force, which he joined before the United States officially entered the war. He is most famous for his poem "High Flight." My title is actually the first line of his wonderful poem and we owe him and all the brave men he served wit much.

Thanks, JJJ~! When I had a flickr acct - I faved MANY of playingwithbrushes textures as I LOVE montages and texture work. I am not good at it, but I love it! I haven't heard of SkeletalMess as I have not been on flickr for about as long as I have been absent from here. Will look into Efex - see what it is all about. Beautiful image! Very thought-provoking, even without the interesting story. I could see this as a huge backdrop in any aviation museum.
