I've gone through a lot of Ms Maier's pictures that have been posted and look forward to the entire catalogue if it ever comes to light. Can you imagine trying to stand that close to people on the street now and taking their photo? And without a model release? An entirely different era which is the most appealing aspect in her photos.

Thanks for pointing out the article with excellent pictures. Fascinating subject. I ordered her book from Amazon.ca for a discounted price compared to Indigo, but they are out of stock. I bet they will publish many more books.

Not nearly so many people doing this kind of thing then as there are today- and especially not women! What a treasure- too bad she's not around to talk about her experiences.

Some really wonderful photos! I love this kind of thing -moments in time and captures of of peoples lives.
