I think Kat has a serious arachnophobia from memory.

This a Rainforest Huntsman spider, and, believe it or not, not a particularly large one. I've seen one of these things that was literally as large as a dinner plate with it's legs spread out. That's around 280mm ( 11 inches).

This one was about 150mm (6 inches) across I guess with a body length maybe 40 - 50mm (1.5 - 2 inches).

My sister found it when she wanted to pee and flat out refused! My wife Leanne however was busting and decided to hell with it, she needed a pee and did her business regardless.

I attached 2 iphone photos to show the relevant size.

Ugh, one for the "ugly" Dec. assignment?

If I saw that I wouldn't pee for a week. Anywhere.

Even being a wee spider - it is pretty cool to say the least. Thanks for sharing the pic plus the scale pics too.... besides seeing the really cool spider, I could not help but hope :fingerscr the users of the loo had something to 'clean up" with as the dispenser is quite bare. :headslap:

OR ... you'd pee right there whether you wanted to or not ;)

This is a kid's nursery rhyme...

"Little Miss Leanne,
Sat on the can,
Doing her business her way,
Along came a spider,
It crawled down beside her,
And frightened Miss Leanne away!!!"

To tell the truth, that public toilet scares me more than the spider!!!

The version of that nursery rhyme I know goes like this ..

"Little Miss Muffet
sat on her tuffet
eating her curds and whey.
Along came a spider
that sat down beside her
and scared Miss Muffet away."

That is the true rhyme, I was using my poetic license because you said your wife's name was Leanne.

Leanne wants me to say that she carries a small sachet of wipes for just such an occasion when the amenities are devoid of paper. I also keep a toilet roll in the car as well.

Wise woman she is. And experienced in such matters as well to know that one should carry such items. Some people aren't as clever. sigh...

Yeh the male toilet wasn't much help either ... it had one sit down toilet and one little porcelain urinal ... and the sitdown was locked for some reason. So the girls couldn't even go in there really unless they wanted to back up on the urinal and test their aim!!

As scary as this is, better than seeing a snake come out of your toilet. Saw a story of that on tv the other day.

I have to admit ... if I had to sit on that seat next to that sucker, it wouldn't happen ... I'd find a tree.

Snake in a toilet! Haven't had that pleasure. Saw two snakes that day, one I posted, the other was a python. Had a big blue tongue lizard in our loo once though.
