I am looking for opinions here. I can't decide which I like better... The edits have subtle differences and then the obvious one of the Sepia.

I prefer the first one...the shadows on the face in the second one take away from the photo (IMHO). I prefer the detail in the sepia pic.

Either way, they are both great shots!

Thanks for the feedback, Greg!

Doh! :wall-an: Do any of you do this too? You plop a photo on the internet THEN notice a major fauz pas? Argh! No need to comment on the "hot spot" on the color version. I see it now. Le sigh. :headslap:

Actually I like second one even if is black too much black.Without any details not looks realistic. It can not be repaired any more to give a little light on second eye.First one have more lighten face but around hairs are traces of dodge tool I think.May I show you how I like to see colors on second image? I really like model and how is taken image.

If the contrast wasn't quite so harsh in the 2nd shot, and we could see more of her shadowed side I'd go for that one without hesitation. Besides, her funbags look better in that one. :)

Nice MA! lol.
I prefer shot 1 because the face looks awesome without the shadows, and is clearly the focal point, and her funbags still look good but grab less attention. lol.
Go!

I don't like the halo around her hair in shot 1 and the face looks a bit plastic to me also. Agreed, the bike rack does look good still. ;)

I think that we can both agree....that if we were single she would be suitable for dating. (sorry everyone - lol)

Dunno ... maybe once ... she looks a bit high maintenance to me :)

'funbags'???
'bikerack'????
 seriously guys. they are called 'breasts'.

I like the dreamy feel of the second one but I agree it's a bit too contrasty.

I'm not going anywhere near that conversation!

In regards to the photograph, I prefer the second one. Of course, I may be biased as I prefer colour. In the first one you can see a very dark shadow on her face which in the second one you can easily see is rouge. Also, her left arm seems better lit in the second one. There is a "hot spot" in the very bottom of the centre of the frame in the second one though, that pulls your eye away from her face as does the bright spot in the upper left of the image. I guess that's what everyone is calling "contrasty".

THANK YOU, Bambi! I am sure that she would think it flattering that what she chose to wear got attention, but maybe in a less crass way? I don't tell my girls what to wear, it is always up to them. The focus is on her face, not her cleavage. (Reason why I left the top part of the sepia image lit more and created a faux rim light around her head). This gal is an artist and a professional Make-up Artist. I love her enthusiasm and willingness to be photographed. Iggy, please scroll up and note post 3 of this thread. :-)

Now then. I totally appreciate all the feedback given! Thank you for taking the time to do so! The more I look at both of them, the less I like them after the feedback. I will repost a redeux at some point but for now, I will upload the original, untouched file and encourage you to have fun with post processing it :) I would love to see the different looks that pop up on this thread! :-) Please play!

BTW - I have model releases for photos I post to the net

I hope the image size is big enough to play with 2000 long edge 300 dpi jpeg

I don't understand this statement!!! :D

Great image Susan!!! I would think since she wore this outfit, maybe she wants some focus on the (fill in your choice, funbags, bikerack, breast). Other than the loss of detail in her hair, I really like your second image, Susan.

As always Veyko, your post work is unbelievable!!!

Vyeko - thank you for sharing your versions! both versions are so pretty! Tiger - The hair in the bottom one bothers me too. I plan to rework this with all of the feedback in mind. My choice? Breasts. Shows a little bit of respect. :-)
