A very cute little girl and a wonderful portrait. I love the catch lights in her eyes and the happy smile. I hope you don't mind me mentioning though that the editing might have been a little too heavy. She looks like a little like a character in Toy Story. I know kids have really smooth skin but it looks almost plastic.

Vyeko,

Great portrait of this little girl. I love her expression and eyes. You are one of my favorite (if not the favorite) photographers on this site. I think your post work is amazing, but I'm sorry, I think this one maybe overkill around her mouth, eyes, and most of her face. Her neck, hair, shirt, ears, and background are a high resolution photograph, but her face seems a little animated (not natural looking compared to rest of image). Please take this lightly because I don't know the entire story of the image and it is just me (your skills as photographer and post editor is eons beyond my skills).

Iggy, I was thinking more along the lines of "Polar Express" more than "Toy Story".

My thoughts exactly.

She's a cutie though and that's a great facial expression!

Okay, I will tell what is this image.I have waiting to see response. All what you see is painted with hand every detail. On this small image brush strokes are not visible original size of image is 30x40 cm.
Reason why I send painting is to show what I do from my images and know me better.Peoples like to have family portrait paintings and their pets. All my images what you see before are not paintings this is first one and last
which I send. This is a forum about photography and I will send only that. Here is 100% crop for better understanding.
Sorry for that.

WOW, beautifully done!!! If I was a betting man, I would have said that first image was a photograph with a lot of post editing. I'm more really amazed that the background, neck, & ear, because they do not show signs of a painting.

Don't you think you cannot show these here, I think anyone here would very much appreciate and value this work and would like to see more.

Wait a minute...back up...this seems unbelievable to me. You mean that you took a photograph and then used paint and canvas to create a painting from the photograph? And then posted a photograph of that painting? Or was it digitally painted? I'm confused but extremely intrigued.

Thank you. I will try to explain more.Original photography is taken for reference.Than with different brushes shapes and smudge tool in PS CS5 paint over my image on second layer.
I am not artist who can paint from scratch and this is only way how I can do it.I really like paintings specially from old masters.
This technique is digital smudge painting.

Seems reminiscent of the way they used to actually paint over wedding pictures to achieve a similar effect. I would agree that the girl looks "overdone" to my eye, but there's no need to refrain from posting such images....maybe just post them in the alternative section.

I too am a huge fan of old the masters and of having photography look 'painterly'.

:twocents: Vyeko - i love the "paint" that you did, but I think the background needs to be more painted as it appears in contrast to the treatment of the little girl. I do like the "paint" :-)
