I don't have any HDR software anymore ... haven't for sometime now. Although there are some HDR photos I think look good, I personally don't like the absence of the highs and lows in HDR. It steals the light, and in photography ... light is everything.

it is lovely. I only asked because you had such a nice range of light-dark in it. I've seen some hdr that is pretty natural so I just thought I'd ask :)

I've seen some hdr that is pretty natural so I just thought I'd ask :)It really depends on your definition of 'HDR' I guess. For the majority of people it means using specific HDR software to render an image from 2 or more photos.
I find the results usually un-natural in terms of the lighting, usually soft where it shouldn't be, and of course produces Halos that can be difficult to correct.
I guess I often do what is what I call 'Manual HDR' for want of a better term. That is, I use Photoshop layers and masking to blend exposures together as I want. Many of my photos are single exposures though. This one, however, was 2 shots.

If people suspect it's an HDR because of the technical qualities, but are unsure, then I know I've done a good job :)

I think this particular shot only slight trimmed to a panorama would lend itself to a great looking 2-3 foot metallic print.
