I am trying to get a great protrait of my daughters in B/W. This are a couple I have worked on, but after adjusting, adjusting, adjusting...etc, I have lost sight of what I am looking for and cannot find a good medium (it all goes back to a good starting product)

What do you think?

I'm afraid I'm not finding that the BW flatters your daughters here and they are both so cute!
The whites of the eyes are too white for me and that's a big part of it, it's making them look "off"" imo.

The eyes are a wee bit too bright - but not too far off... If you could work in some light on the hair, that would bring in a little more dimension and depth. You are doing a pretty darn good job, Tiger --- just think of your first images to now. :-)

White on eyes are little to bright for me too.I like second one more even if you loose details on dress because it looks like High contrast image with graphic feeling.

One thing I've learned about bw, not every photo is destined for it. Keep playing around with all your shots!

The flash is the problem here I think. It's to much direct and hard. Finding something to soften the flash would have help.
