February 2012 Photography Assignment - Transportation

Here we are again, a new month without an assignment.

My suggestion: Over-exposed - we always work so hard to keep our exposure perfect and we did an intentionally under-exposed challenge so let's try the other side of the spectrum and intentionally over-expose an image to tell the story.

How about "Transportation" for Level 1

I like overexposed as level 2 assignment and transportation for level 1.

As the young'uns say, "I'm down wit' dat" ;) hehehehe

Seeing as I do computer support for Mississauga Transit, 'Transportation' for Level 1 would work out well for me.

Seeing that I overexpose most photos..i'm down with that.. :P

I converted to BW because I thought it looked meaner

I've never had the pleasure of travelling in a helicopter, but I'm sure it counts as transport. I snapped this walking out to my car this afternoon, and thought immediately of the assignment. OK it is a little abstract, but it was the kind of image I was thinking of when I took the shot.

I'd take a photo of a bus but since we are in the middle of a Transit Strike I couldn't find any! :) In any event, lots of passenger vehicles on the road...

Thanks Jimmy. This is on Queens Quay in Toronto. By the way it is not a bus, but rather a streetcar (on rails). It is a screwey intersection. He is actually going from left to right right in the picture and has a different signal from the one you can see.

And as the Transit strike continues in Halifax one of the best modes of transportation is pedal power...

Iggy - good panning job. Transit strike - hang in there, our transit stike in York Region lasted 3 months.

Very cool photos everyone! But boy that old Mercedes on the cobblestones, the sun, the coppertones, the painted stucco, the vase; it's just full of awesome. Just love that Barefoot.
