I posted sometime ago this image (http://www.photography.ca/Forums/f21/fisherman-sunset-17006.html). Then I saw a room for improvement and played with it a bit and came up with these two. Could please tell me what you think? better or worse? Your preference, if any? or any other suggestions?
Thanks

Although i like these versions - the original is superior imo. The exposure is better and so is the comp.
Just my opinion tho.

Really great work.If I must to choose I am with B/W. Fantastic contrast for me. On earlier post I like softness of light which create nice mood.

I like the original. For me, your B&W does not have enough contrast in the upper half of the frame which I think imbalances the result. Although what appears to be just a crop in the second re-work it takes away from the vastness for me. The closer version would work if there was more detail to pull my attention but then that would change the focus of the photo.

I also prefer the original. As you have asked for ideas, I am wondering how it would look cropped as a panorama (the original). Maybe a slight lightening if the sky and mountains (as you will be losing the lightness in the sky with the crop) and increase the contrast of the water only? Don't know how it work but is just a thought.

Thanks guys for all your inputs!!!
I prefer the original to these images. I wonder what a more of a silhouette would look like in the colour version.

I like the color one the best because it give you a warm mood and clearly indicates the time of day (either sunrise or sunset). The B&W one is "timeless" because you can't tell what time it is.
