It's interesting, and I like it, but I admit I struggle to make sense of what I'm looking at. With nothing else in frame to give it a place, I can't pin down it's size/scale, angle, whether it's standing up or being looked down upon, and so on.
And because of this, it's difficult to understand. I *do* like the texture though.
Is that a hard shadow around the right hand side, or a continuation of the water/liquid/puddle/lake..?

Marko - I really like this shot!
I've got to say I like this for some of the reasons Ben didn't. :) Being hard to identify makes the subject more interesting, makes me stop and look. I think I might have gone with a straight B&W conversion, as the brown spots in the center don't for much for me. Would also have liked to seen the tip end of the "island" that gets cut off at the bottom. Nice find, though.

Thanks everyone - this was a sizable crop off a larger shot that just didn't work. I kind of saw a 'face' in it and thought it would work better.
