Been really dry here, and no real amounts of rain in sight. Currently watching the dense smoke from an uncontrolled forest fire just 30 km north of us. Very high winds here also. We can actually smell the smoke while sitting on the back deck. Another fire burning uncontrolled, 55 km south of us also. Hope they get them under control soon, and if we do get rain, NO LIGHTNING!
Sure, living amongst all the wilderness is nice, but there are some downsides as you can see, also.

Here goes the local Fire Truck. Just flew by our house couple minutes ago. Heard it coming, so ran got camera and fired off a shot. Not the best, but no time to adjust settings.

Well I hope you get rain soon also and that it stays far from where you are. Seen many of them and their after effects and would not want it to happen to anyone. It is odd because Toronto has had a lot of rain this year too bad we cannot export it.

I'm pretty sure we here in Vancouver could donate some rain also but it would probably upset some balance somewhere. Unusual weather patterns all over it seems this year, can't really say with any certainty what's in store for ones hood. Hopefully this thing you're dealing with will all go sideways and die with some rain or failing that, a wind reduction coupled with an heroic firefighting effort will put it to rest. Either way, I wish for the best HBG' Nice pic too!
