I have downloaded the trial version of Lightroom and was wondering if there is a way to make multiple edits on the same raw file. An example of this would be I would edit one version as a black and white and then another as a color. If someone could point me in the right direction what this would be called I am sure I can figure out how to use it.

Thank you,
Jason

Right click on the image and create virtual copy... you can create as many virtual copies as you need...

Yes there is. Right click on the image in lightroom and there is an option to "create a virtual copy". The virtual copy will have a little fold in the corner. Even though you will now have two versions you can edit there is still only one original raw on the disk. Lightroom in non-destructive. i.e. It doesn't touch the original raw file on the disk, it simply keeps a database of the changes you've made and renders/displays those changes when it it viewed in the program.

Thank you Richard and asnow. That is exactly what I was looking for. I have only used the trial of Lightroom for 2 days and already decided that I will buy it when it expires.
