Hi Marco,

To back up a little of my comment, the attached picture illustrates how good film really is. The left image is the result of processing after leaving it for 11 years (the slight bluing effect of the scanner actually compensated for the more orange bird), the right image is the result of just less than 60 seconds in Photoshop. The picture isn't great (I just grabbed it quickly while walking by with my girls at the time) but I was amazed at still having a picture after all that time.

Thanks for the comment Julian!

Just as an FYI - when uploading to our forum make sure each pic is 275 k or less and 1026 pixels wide or less. (Or else compression may occur as I believe is happening here.)

Apologies! I did reduce it - but sadly it was still 889K - next time I'll get it right.

No problem at all Julian. Just as an FYI - It should not have been too difficult to reduce the above images to 275 k or less and still maintain fabulous sharpness. I've been doing exactly this since the board opened. If you need additional help - let me know.

If you do want to post larger images you can post them on flickr - photobucket etc. and embed them in a post.
