Taken a few years ago at a local parade.

really like the tones and grainy feel to this. His eyes say it all - lots of stories in this man's life.

Thanks edG. I've worked with him for about 18 years. He's a nice guy and kind of easy going. I went to our local fall parade a few years ago and saw him and took this. At time he didn't know it so it's a complete candid, but I have since given him an 8x10 print.

An excellent candid portrait. I love the grainy feel to it too. Well done and I'm glad to hear you gave him a copy... but you didn't say what he thought of it. ??

Much thanks Iggy and Marko. I appreciate the comments very much. Well Iggy, don't remember his exact words but it was something along the lines of "well I guess it's a good picture but it's a picture of me and I don't really like pictures of me." But he was grateful and thanked me anyway and told me that he was going to give it to his sister because she saw a digital file of it and wanted it. oh, BTW, It was the color version, before I did this PP and conversion, that I gave him. But pretty much the same crop though, just not as tight as this one.

Good photo, love the detail on his face. You picked a good subject to photograph.

Very well done Lorey, and the use of b&w really brings out the "character" in this individual.
