Okay the title may have been a bit deceiving, there is no food in these photo's. It was I who was roasting in the hot sun as I walked for what seemed like miles along the sand bar on Sidney Spit. Its a small Island across from where I live. I finally got out there after about 3 years of telling myself that I was going to go there "some day'.

These are fab jude! Lovely comps here and some of these trickier exposures are well handled.
Very hard to pick a fave...

I agree! :) Sad to see that one fellow with the fishing line tangled around him... makes you wish you could just invite him down to take it off.

Great Set Jude. I particularly like the "in flight" shots and the bird on the stump.

All excellent takes in this set Jude.As Marko said, you handled some tough lighting VERY well. Btw, your unidentified looks like it is a Spotted Sandpiper from the bill length, and colouration.
