Hello everyone,

I missed this forum, and hopefully I will have more time from now on to start taking pictures and be active here, again.
I have noticed that because of my iPhone, I have become lazy :) I'm taking lots of pictures with my iPhone and not carrying the DSLR camera with me.
I want to get rid of this not healthy behaviour and start taking pictures again with a real camera.

Anyone been in this situation before?:)

Cheers,
Lovin

Lol, yep. The bigger the camera, the more effort it is to carry it so you really have to make an effort sometimes.

Camera is only one thing this contraption of cell phone will use to manipulate you into submission. Those things are highly addictive, and if you do not watch it, you will fall victim to it. :evil2: I swore I will never possess one .... just think of how much equipment you could purchase by not having to pay that monthly phone bill ....

I can understand the allure, however, I've gotten in the habit of pretty much not going anywhere without my camera fairly close by. Every once in a while though, I do leave it at home as it's a bit bulkier than a smartphone :) The bulk gives you options though that you can't get with a smart phone.

I hear you Lovin and I did play that game for a bit....and you do get nice images from time to time and some spontaneous ones.

"The best phone is the one you have on you".

My eyes are spoiled though...they want quality all the time and these smart phones can't give it to me all the time. They can only deliver quality under very restrictive circumstances.
Anything other than that (things that move, low light) there is not enough quality (imo - at the time of this writing)

So like Iggy - My DSLR comes with me more and more and more.
And even when I don't shoot a frame, I still feel safe with her next to me. :)

To me smartphone and social network make a deadly combination. It's really convenient taking a snapshot of something interests you and the post it straight on your social networking site through your smart phone. Anyway, I usually take casual snapshot with my smartphone and take more 'serious' photos with my dslr so it shouldn't be a problem.
