Are sugegstions needed Marko or do you have it sorted?

No I'm open to suggestions and prefer members suggest. :)

since february is valentines day month - maybe 'love' or 'passion'?

& btw, sooo glad to be back on here! december was a crazy month & with travelling for the holidays & getting back into the groove afterwards, i feel like ive been gone forever! nice to see the board has been so busy!

obvious I guess but love, passion, romance sounds fine to me.

There's LOADS of opportunity with love, passion, romance....
I like it - anyone else?

Hi there!
Hope you don't mind a newbie joining in on this one!
What about the colour red (as a link to Valentine's day)?

Maybe both? :lightbulb Love, passion, romance with the parameter that red must feature with the photo.

The month has not started yet

Want to bet ;) It's 3.51pm on Feb 1 here right now.

Nice image.

I guess, seeing as there weren't any other suggestions that Marko is happy for "Love, Passion, Romance with the parameter that Red must feature with the photo" to be the months assignment?

I did post in the weeeee minutes of February. HAHA. Thanks Mr. Aussie. Its kind of late over here. At 1:13 AM. Ugh, I should go to bed.

Nice 1st shot - changing the thread title now - though I think I'm changing one word the word 'must'. That one word makes this assignment much harder and I'd like as many people to play as possible. Hope people are okay with that - and if an outcry ensues I can be persuaded to re-evaluate with a bribe of dark chocolate. :)

Love, Passion, Romance with the parameter that Red should feature with the photo.

The month has not started yet but, I'm always on time but generally early. There is not exception, even in photography!

the second one makes curious - the glass says "engagement" yet there is a wedding ring on the man's hand. hmmm is it of a polygamist?:p Nice shots too!

Renewing vows

My wife and I were my models for this one. This year we will reach 25 yrs married ... to each other only ;)

I like your shot jjeling, nice way to fit the theme.

Mad Aussie, both shots have their merits in terms of the treatments. My instinct was shot 2 all the way, but on a second look, I like how the ring and female fingers are sharper in shot 1 and direct the eye. So now I'm not sure which one I prefer and I think both are well done.

Thanks Marko. And I'm glad I'm not the only one that couldn't decide between the two. It was almost 3 actually ... I have another version that used some bounce light to show more of the hands.

Marko, thank you as well. Taking this image was fun, along with many of the others I took with it. It was actually a white light with a bluish tint to it from the LED light used for this. I never did care for it much and have always wondered what more I could do to it, then I saw this thread. I changed the hue, took care of a little noise, and there you go.

Maybe it's a stretch, but it has red, the suggestion of a heart and it is definately phallic (Ha Ha). Lol, I have flowers on the bean this week.

It's a bit of a stretch but we'll take it :D I like this image but it's really saturated on my monitor. Is it saturated on yours raiven? other people?

My shot to come this weekend.

thx

Definitely over-saturated.

saturation is fine on this monitor - pretty flower and cute heart shaped stamen! :0)

I scanned it from a Velvia 50 slide. And put it in lightroom for a slight crop and just hit auto tone which lightened it up a bit. Did a bit of recover to bring up the background a bit. I am just learning the scan thing but I am pretty sure the saturation is just a feature of having used Velvia film to start with.

A day late and a dollar short on Valentine’s Day, but here’s my submission on love, relationships, and complications.

Creative and clever? I guess I should feel flattered, but if I had a dollar for every time it’s been done in one fashion or another I’d rush right and buy that D3x I’ve been lusting after. :D

But, I am glad you liked it.

Yeah, Im with barefoot, Ive seen that numerous times especially with wedding rings. However, the one thing I havent seen is someone using it with a red filter. I like the creativity of that. Good job,
