As mentioned (I think) in another thread, the coffee shop at the airport held a Show and Shine. JC towed both of the P-40s over by them, so in addition to the cars, a few motorcycles and food, people could have their ride's picture taken with the planes. (Jim and Tony manned the photo station, with help from Mike). Here are a few results (in no particular order).

Cool set. Lots of variety. There are some nice looking machines there.

Man I'd be there a month looking at those! Some nice shots in there too.

These are great. I learned to drive on a Studebaker with gear shift on the steering column.

very nice series. I like the ones that show the interaction between the people and machines.

Totally agree with Bambi, and also love that little Ford Falcon.

Thank you, everyone. I guess I accomplished a couple of things I set out to do - show an event, rather than the cars, because there are always plenty of pictures of cars after a show like this. That's the people looking and pointing. The other was to make it look lively. MA would have to look at absolutely every nut and bolt there to spend a month at it. I'm hoping local people will find the shots appealing enough to turn out the next time the coffee shop holds one.

Great set....all the cars are great, but I REALLY love the character captured in the first shot.

definitely a plus showing the interaction between the crowd and the machines - well made.

Thanks, Randitola and edG. I'm finding I'm getting less afraid of trying people shots, at least casual ones like this. In certain circumstances, it seems to add something to a scene.
