Time for a shag?

Well over in Aussie we call Cormorants 'Shags' anyhow :D

This one is a composite image I made from two separate photos I took.
Basically I played with the image of the Shags in the tree to get that night time look and then I added the moon, duplicated that to add the moon aura and afterwards added the stars.
The idea was to try to achieve a mystic sort of feel tothe image ... not to make it fake ... but not to really leave real either if that makes any sense?

I like the image but it no longer looks like a photograph to me, it looks like graphic design or mixed media.

very cool! i like the originality & uniqueness - it does feel very mystic to me, but i also agree with marko, and can tell right away that its not a 'real' photo. but, thats ok too! great job with the moon glow! very interesting picture.... :)

Yeah. The depth of a photo is gone and it looks two dimensional now.

I'll have to go look at the original again and see if it had much 3d in it now :)

That moon was diffuclt as it was added 2nd so obviously covered the shag and branches. It took some masking and patience to then erase the necessary parts to make it appear to the back.

But very interesting veiwpoints so far, thanks folks.
