not a really big fan of textures, personally feel that it is more graphic art than photography - but with that said I have to echo Justin's thoughts, I really love this one.

You really nailed this one Matt , the colour palate, the mix of dark and light zones and the choice of texture. Well made!!

You should print this and hang it with pride.

Love what you did with this Matt.

Takes a special kind of talent to make this into what you have, and you def. have an eye for it. Jimmy will be proud.

Hey thanks you guys. I have printed it out meanwhile ... on high gloss. Methinks I need to print it on canvas, though....

Yup very cool processing - I dig it as well.
I must say though that I also dig the original and a bit more PP on the original would make it sing considerably louder.
In terms of the processed image, imo the leaf at bottom left should be burned in a good 30%. And then I agree with you 100% - print it on canvas, textured, or a mat paper. It's begging for a paper or surface with some 'tooth'.
Hope that may help.

Yup. Something that isn't slick. Maybe not too much texture, though. It might compete with the effect you added to the picture itself.
