I was trying to get "funky" shots today of a big transport truck. They wanted to have some fun ones of the new truck. This is the front of it.
I guess my critique question would be a. does it even work. b. crop I can't reshoot this shot (truck is off) so just talking about this shot in itself.

It works for me. I like the choice of B&W for this and the composition is cool. I would have preferred not to have that building on the left but, hey, whatcha goin' to do... you couldn't move the building ;) Overall, I think it works well. I like the clouds and the reflections.

Interesting what catches different peoples' eyes. The building doesn't bother me at all here.
First off - strong processing here really dig the tones. Also dig the comp
For me my niggly area is the bottom edge - The grate or screening, to my eye is a distraction and i think the image would have been stronger had the crop happened 1/2 a centimenter above that screening. Given the slope of the crop not sure how easy it would be to do now...

I like the overall pic, but I'm like Iguanasan the building bugs me, but not that much. The truck is off ok, I am a truck driver and we always comeback, so you will have your chance to retry.

haha..thanks. Although I am quite certain this one won't. A special fabricated trailer and hitch was attached to it and off to Alberta where it will do it's job. Actually to see the full truck with all it's work, it was quite a job they did! I'll see if I have one I can post up for people to see.
This photo does absolutely no justice. The proper ones the leas photographer did will be up onsite next week..

I think you did pretty darn good, myself. Ever see the movie "Maximum Overdrive"? It was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the first one.
