I've been faffing around going through the pictures from one of my two photography days from my recent trip to Hong Kong, and have (maybe) narrowed it down to these 7. It was a really terrible day for photography, extremely gloomy all day long, so apologies for the high ISO (a couple are at 12800 :yuck: )

I like the variety here - some really interesting comps .
Last 4 are my faves.

wow these are interesting. Can I ask why some people are wearing masks?

I really like all of them but my fav are:
1. #2- all these people all looking around but not interacting except for the guy on the left who's looking right at you
2. #4- I like the text and how it frames the men and seems to speak to their profession as well.
3. # 5- love the juxtaposition of the dog and man glamour shot with the working man in between.
4. the last shot. it has a real story to it.

thanks

Great set, really like "Beers". I like the partial silhouette on that one.

Super set - You have done well to place yourself so you can capture the subjects in front of the various backgrounds to tell a story. High ISO is no problem at all - no need to apologise. Nicely made street photography.

Thanks for looking everyone! :)

Bambi, masks because popular in Hong Kong due to the outbreak of SARs ten years ago (about.com have a bit about it) (http://gohongkong.about.com/od/healthandsaftey/a/face_masks_in_hong_kong.htm). 'Popular' might be too strong a word, at it's height in a crowd of a hundred people you might have seen ten or twenty wearing masks. There was a bit of a resurgence when Avian Flu appeared a couple of years ago.

When you can do B&W that well ... the high ISO isn't noticeable!

It's not about the quantity or quality of the pixels... it's about the image. Those last four are very nice street shots. Well done.
