The little taste of winter weather didn't last long - back to rain today. I walked down to the river a few days ago (-15 degrees celsius) and took a few shots with my 50mm lens. I found a maple leaf with it's right side all rolled up. Close by, there was an image of the right side of another leaf on the shoreline ice - I guess it had been frozen underneath? Here's a shot of the two together. Two halves become a whole?

The next two are 'intentional camera movement' impressionist-style images. They're basically the same scene with two different movements (blurs) during the exposure.

Good shots. Smooth blur on the bottom two, and the first one has a really nice texture, and good detail.

I like shot 1 and The ICM looks stormy - Cool.

Nice set Doug. I like the second shot (first of the ICM). I think the panoramic crops works with these 2 as well.

I like the last ones. They really transmit that "cold" feeling.

Thanks, everyone for the comments. Here's a picture of what the general area on the river looked like before experimenting with ICM.

That's quite a bit of difference between the first few and this shot. Pretty surprising.

The second intentional movement, I think. The colors seem to work a bit better when they're a little lighter.

Actually, I like the implication of a cold, snowy, windy day in the last ICM. Nicely done.
