There are many times in these beautiful mountains that you feel as if you can just walk right on into heaven.

These would also work for the contrast assignment this month. Very nice image and nice color. If I could make a suggestion I think you should crop out the hole in the cloud on the very top as it's a little distracting.

Love the sharp detailed foreground with the leading lines, along with that lovely subdued blues with the more vibrant lighted sky. So well balanced LQ. Very nicely done.

Also agree with the crop.

What makes this image great is the contrast between those great colors and those dark clouds. Just excellent Lizardqing! :thumbup:

They are some of the oldest mountains on the face of the planet and a visit to them does indeed invoke a feeling of the ancient. (lots of moonshine been made there, as well...:laugh:)
