Hey all
I took this picture on one of the lakes. He was preparing his net for the night's catch. C&C please...

Cool shot, am liking the silhouette, and you've managed to keep some detail in the silhouette which is nice.

For me this is too dark I'm afraid. Fill flash or another angle would have been better imo.

I'm with Marco I'm afraid. If the silhouette of the head was separate from the far shore then this would work better IMO.

I'm afraid I'm on the side of a bit too dark. If you did just want the silhouette, I would like to have seen the whole head with the water as the background. ie. Picture taken a little higher or the boat just a little closer to shore.

I guess I see it a little different. I love this shot, and the lighting. The choice of b&w really makes the action of the net/water really pop. As for the separation of silhouette from the shoreline. I don't see the problem. If you look at the pic, you will see a nice rim of light around the hair/head which separates the foreground object, (mans head), very nicely from dark shoreline. Would really stand out, and look much more noticeable, if made larger.
