I know I've gone off about this before and people have assured me that the process is clean and all but then a whole schwack of info crosses my path and I'm not so sure again. I've always considered the thousands of heart wrenching stories I read from parents whose children were fine before being vaccinated then suddenly became very ill. Anyway, have a read and see what you think.

Well well well ... I have also long been an advocate against immunization, much to my wife's duress (she is a nurse). But I also see no reason to have something put into my body that I do not know what it is, and what comes with it - I am somewhat of a tinfoil hat wacko myself, but to me it just seems a perfect way to inject you with something that could possibly enable big brother to monitor your whereabouts amongst other things. I do not trust certain things, and I ask questions. 500 years ago they would have burned me at the stake or worse, i am sure. So keep it up, Michael, question and suspect .... 1984 has come and is alive and well (facebook and twitter are evil!).

Holy 5hit, Michael. You shoudda not have alerted me to this .. mind you, I firmly believe that there are powers at work already systematically disassembling society as we know it, with our full consent (that is the scary part). Look at the "Idle no more" movement ... I don't think they know what they want in the first place, like zombies they are walking around, with no real tangible agenda. As them what they want, what they stand for, and you will not get a clear answer. .. all you get is "we do not like this or that". This is a form of dissent, but a controlled one in my eyes. Keep people interested in this junk and do something behind the curtains in the meantime. Oh well, yes, I will be home late, for sure.

Actually, I got a kick out of Ron James' New Year show ... he had a bunch of Harperite Zombies scare the living bejezus out of the only sane person around ....

And here's how it all started. It's a bit of a watch but worth it IMHO

While I am a bit of a fan of conspiracy theories myself I am often reminded of that old and very wise saying: Never attribute to malice that which can be explained through incompetence.

That being said, this vaccine thing is driving me crazy. We have diseases that had been considered beaten until people started believing in this vaccine conspiracy crap and stopped vaccinating their kids. Now diseases like scarlet fever, measles, mumps, and polio are making a comeback. While I'm sure there is corruption in the pharmaceutical world it's no reason not to vaccinate your kids against diseases that may kill them.

With a majority of people being vaccinated disease doesn't spread. The minority of people, the ones not vaccinated don't have to worry about the diseases too much because there's nowhere to get the disease from, because the vaccinated people wont get it. Sound well and good until a foreigner, or some animal starts spreading it to the unvaccinated. Either way you're taking a risk, which risk you take is up to you.

What is coming down the pike will make polio look like the common cold Iggy, we're playing God with our food supply and I don't have to bring forward our total lack of respect for the place we call home environmentally. If we were making vast strides in our lives from a communal sensibility I would have no issue. Sadly though, it's all based on much profit for a handful at the top with little or no concern for the well being of the masses. If the PDF report is in earnest and the information contained within correct, I have grave concerns about our methods regarding disease prevention in a global, communal sense. I really do not like conspiracy theories much because the majority are just plain ridiculous but I do follow because they dig and in the digging they sometimes reveal a nugget of truth. My take on UFO's....With almost everyone on the planet having a camera at hand these days, where's the evidence? There are plenty of crazy conspiracies out there and a wealth of misinformed gibberish out there on the web to back it up but at the end of the day 99% of it is just rubbish fed through a hyperactive imagination mill. I know firsthand that big pharma is making money. I put on events for these groups at my hotel and the money we charge for gear is of NO concern to them. Invite 30 medical professionals into a room, wine em and dine em with the best stuff...Ten grand later and the good doctors are filling out prescriptions with the product. The only other group I service that throw money around without apparent concern are banks. I'm well aware of how it's all supposed to work Iggy but at the end of the day, in my books, it falls way short in delivery and can more comfortably be seen as mass illusion infused by power and money. The PDF report I linked has a bit too much information obtained by the "freedom of information act" in it to comfortably sit by and say it's all just peachy keen and everything is going according to plan...Well it is, but it's not a plan that has our best interests at heart, maybe as cattle yes but as people we are being vastly shortchanged while we're encouraged to look elsewhere and never mind.

I'll have to actually do the reading to debate with you openly and honestly but I think it really comes down to the evil that is being forced upon us in the guise of "good business". While I still wholeheartedly believe in vaccines for polio, measles, scarlet fever and the like I also believe that those vaccines were developed at a time when it was done for the common good of people's health by people who truly cared. I'm not aware of any studies in Canada that suggests the regular vaccination kids have gotten through the school system has caused any alarming rates of illness or death but I am always open to being educated.

The general science behind this is simple, logical, and sound. Inject a dead, non-functioning, virus into your body to allow your own natural anti-bodies to be developed to protect you should you ever encounter that virus in the wild. I think, however, big pharma has strayed from this methodology.

In the last 40 years or so big pharma has gotten involved and they are only interested on getting you hooked on whatever it is they've developed to increase their profits more and more every year to satisfy this impossible goal of continued growth and shareholder happiness. To compound that issue they are also developing these drugs for use on animals in the food chain.

Again, when I have a free week (crap that's long!) I'll try to review the material that you've posted. Maybe I'll be swayed by your evidence.

Sorry guys, I don't wish to offend but I will be the dissenting view here (with Iggy). I confess to sitting in the skeptic camp, but am of the opinion that vaccination does a whole lot more good than bad.

I admit I am not an immunologist, and don't know the science personally. Having said that, all the evidence I have seen and heard often questions the credibility of a lot of the "research" from the anti-immunization lobby. I also have low regard for a lot of the websites that publish a lot of this, as well as alternative therapies and "medicine". Unless I know the science directly, I must rely on others for my information. My views are based on my own perceived credibility of the varying sources of information (maybe naively) and fully appreciate that others will have a different perception of a sources credibility.

A lot of minds much better than mine will continue to argue this back and forth and I know I wont convince anyone to my way of thinking (nor do intend to), but I just thought I would state my position. I know also that this wont change anyones opinion but I found the following interesting Vaccine Ingredients (http://skeptoid.com/episodes/4180). I am a subscriber to this podcast and recommend it.

From a parochial (light-hearted) point of view I recommend deferring to Canada's own Dr Shelley Deeks (chair of the World Health Organisation's Immunization Practices Advisory Committee), rather than the Aussie chick who wrote the paper mentioned above :)

Please forgive me, but this thread is in need of a descriptive photograph. I see a lot of what is being discussed here in this image.

Just remember this, without genetically (modified) engineered foods, there will be a shortage of beer.

seriously- can you really credit that the entire medical community worldwide is engaged in such a massive coverup that only these fringe websites can report it?

There is more actually, accredited, peer reviewed studies that show a greater link between birth defects and contracting MMR and other diseases while pregnant.

I hate that gets perpetrated as it leads to more damage than not.

and if anyone dares bring up the supposed link between vaccines and autism, I swear I will come to your house and make you read all of the scientific articles. all.of.them.

Sorry Bambi...I should probably have mentioned that this particular study was poking more at the UK and the regarding some bad policy making in their disease prevention methods. The 'Fringe website" obviously shone a light on it but the PDF report is the real meat here. I wasn't trying to relate vaccines to autism again as this has more to do with other afflictions that seemingly walked hand in hand with the various vaccines mentioned in the report. I should have made it more clear I guess the focus of the report. Now I'm going to have to lend a hand gluing some of your feathers back on :) If you have reports to share though, I'd be more than willing to get copies as the more data in the files I collect, the more accurate the info I collect becomes.
