Very cool shot. Has a nice candid/casual look about it.

Nicely done, BF. You might want to reconsider your position as to not posting portraits .....

Nice! I love this! You worked to capture a casual shot. Just wish I couldn't see the remote in your fingers :) Next time use the remote to trigger the timer so you can tuck the remote away and it'll be even cooler.

Yeah, I had it on a three second exposure delay (exposure delay so the mirror slap doesn't shake things up) but, if you had seen what I was looking at you might have lost track of things, too.:D

'preciate it, fellows.

Thanks, Monty

I had the tripod in the bed of my pick-up, so I was sorta shooting down on myself and that caused some distortion I couldn't completely correct. The 35-70mm 2.8 I used is known to have some barrel distortion and I probably should have placed my mess on the sidewalk in front of me. I'm gonna try it again next Sunday in a different doorway and the AIS 28mm 2.8 just to see if its an improvement.

I don't think the distortion detracts from the photo at all. It's a nice image.

I agree - even the remote doesn't bother me - looks like part of a keychain to me.
Nice self portrait all around

Very well done BF. I really like this one, and portraiture is def. a street you may want to go down more often.
