Hi Folks.

Well time to be initiated ;)

This is an image I took when I was still getting a handle on my camera's higher functions.

I am pretty pleased with the composition of this one, but am interested in hearing if I could have done better with it in any ways.

I'm pretty decent with people and buildings but still touch and go with Landscapes and scenery so any advice is good for me.

Would love the input. Let me have 'er ;)

Subject- check
Composition- check
Exposure- check

Everything looks pretty good to me, brother.

Thanks.

I took a series of these with the same row of chairs from different perspectives. This was my fav.
Roughly half of them were like this for exposure with various compositions, the other half had an assortment of mistakes, such as too much shadow, or I was not happy with my focus point.

This is absolutely lovely. It makes me wish I was sitting in one of those chairs. Especially as I look out my window to the 40+ centimeters of snow that landed in my driveway since last night! :P

Nightmare? I'd bet a dollar to a week old doughnut that if you had to endure one of our summers, you would be thanking your lucky stars you're where you are. Heck, it was 70F here today.

I doubt that. I'm a Harley rider so to that I say.... Bring on the heat!!!!

I like it too. The sun seems so warm on the chairs but the yellow leaf reminds us how fleeting summer is here.

In a perfect world we could move around to get the temps we want.....

I think for me the crop could be better. I like the colours, exposure etc but I find the white chair in shadow at the far left to be a distraction ... ditto with the small part of the white chair to the far right as well. I'd crop in so only the 4 main chairs are in shot.
Apart from that I like the overall composition and warm feeling here.

If that doesn't say Canadian I don't know what does. You have the red, white and the maple leaves all in one. Nice shot!

Thanks :)

The colors are off on this shot a bit. I was struggling with color profiles between my camera and my laptop, and then compounded with online presentation. However I think I have the issue sorted out as of a few weeks ago.
If the thread was not so old I'd upload a new one but not too worries about it for now.

The composition was my primary concern and appreciate all comments :)
