Hi team

Do you have any recommendation of software to retouch old pictures?

I started playing with Akvis retoucher. Photoshop is also an alternative.
Any other one you may like?

I started scanning a bunch of very old slides from my wife's family. They are all full of dust, fingerprints and liquid marks.

Regards

I've always used Photoshop for this kind of thing. Gimp is another (free!) alternative, I don't find it as intuitive as Photoshop, but if you put just a little time into learning it, it's a bargain.

Adobe elements (http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.edu.html) (sort of like a light version of photoshop) should also do the trick but it costs just over 100.
