Two more sunsets and one of an unused mine shaft right outside my house door.

If I could get critiques..the mine shaft photo would be really great please!!!

Thanks again,,

And as a side note..the camera is down for a bit.. :D:D

Oh..unless the Northern Lights pop out!

Critiques.... How can we critique perfect images. I'm surprised you don't know that already! To be completely honest, the picture of the bench does not really do much for my tastes. The 2nd one is a good sunset. It seems I have grown immune to sunset shots. They have not really moved me at all. It is a good picture, better than most, but I have seen way too many at this point.
The image of the mine shaft is where it is at. Sure you are already aware of this. Being out of focus, the girl in the image does a lot for the image as it proves the subject of the picture is the mine shaft. It would a good image without her in it as well. If you could go back I might try that as well. Knowing me, I would be running over to the shaft trying to get inside that place. It is probably pretty well protected though for safety reasons. There is always adventure involved with things like this, and thats half the fun. Good use of the BW conversion. Maybe try getting closer and making an abstract out of this as well. Great image. It is definitly a keeper.

The park bench shot is awesome!! I love it. Wouldn't change a damn thing!!

Seen alot of sunsets also but you do them well. Not so fussed on these very dark ones though as I am on your others.

Mine Shaft ... frankly doesn't do much for me I'm afraid ... I think more can be achieved there. Those long shadows might be the ticket.

I gotta add how much I like that park bench. The light that's squeezed passed the bench into the snow and the fine texture of the snow itself is just beautiful!

Thanks. I liked the bench one too..but to each their own!

I really didn't expect the dark sunsets to be that dark until I got them home and uploaded. I would love to lighten them but can't seem to make it work. That's what I get for rushing my shots!!! Next time I should leave the family home and take my time..!

Gonna have to go out and play with the shaft a bit..it's only a 5 min walk from here. No you can't go in it..but I think I may be able to get a good view..we'll see. Keep you posted :)

I like the park bench shot as well but that sunset horizon line is a bit bright for me and I might have crouched a wee bit lower (and hope to get more of the glow toward the middle of the shot and not the extreme brightness itself). The subject is mostly the bench not the skyline imo. I love the pinkish glow on the snow.

I agree w/jjeling on the b/w. For me the shot would have been way stronger without the human subject and a good tree-crop on the right side. The shape of the structure gives the image plenty of strength imo.
Hope that helps
