I've just gotten around to processing a few more impressionistic images I took last autumn using Intentional Camera Movement during the exposure. The 'pastoral' scene reminded me of something one might see in England or anywhere in the Northern hemisphere. With the early snowfall image, there were clumps of coloured leaves on otherwise bare branches in the foreground.

Nice play! First one is very impressionistic for sure - I dig the balanced tones - Nice rusty colour and movement feeling in the second.

Very artistic. Second shot is the one I prefer; nicely done.

The more I see these ICM images the more I'm convinced that it's possible to make some wonderful art in this manner. Thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks, everyone, for the comments. I find using ICM is challenging, but fun, and it forces me to concentrate on contrasting forms, lines, light and colour - always good exercises.

I like these Doug. The first is certainly impressionistic and the colour in the second one is very nice. I like that you can still identify what the scene and it isn't too abstract.

Both are very well done Doug. I cannot pick a fav here as they both do stand out for different reasons.
The first one is so perfect with the softer movement depicting a slow meandering river, and the second has the more jagged lines showing the strength of the trees within the scene. Just my take on your artistry.
