This is a Red-breasted Nuthatch from our walk in the woods Friday. Was quite the little poser.
So nice to see a day above 0 Celcius, and some blue sky. Has been a long time.

Really not much of a bird photo lover, HB. But I like the colors, lighting and composition in both of these but the second one with its head cocked back really makes it stand out, to me anyway. Not just your average bird-setting-on-a-limb shot. Really sharp and clear. Great capture!

You were the first photographer the bird noticed this spring so he posed....later on in the year the bird will go "just another photographer, meh."

Another with beautiful sharp detail. I prefer the second one with the head up.

Beautifully exposed! Lots of fine detail in even the white feathers. Love those Nuthatches and the squeaky sounds they make.

nice shot...........so many robins here ,they make it hard to see other birds.......
