Took this shot last night. It was hard not to notice the lines and shadows so I grabbed my camera. There was something about it that really intrigued me but can't tell if this shot tells the story well enough, it has not been long enough to make a decision yet. Let me know what you think. Thanks again.

Hmmm... I think for me, I'm going to have to say 'No'. The upper LH corner is just too dark and draws my eye away from the rest of the image - can you re-work this in post? I like the fine, feathery shadow detail on the edge of the ice, but the dark area over-powers it. I'm also curious as to whether it might work better if the interesection of the two lines image right were visible.

tirediron, thanks for the response. I do have another image where the lines intersect. After resizing it Ill put it up. Maybe it will help.

For me it's the interaction of the elements that is the 'story' here and right now it is too dark to see this interaction so the 'story' is unclear.
Hope that makes sense - Marko

Thanks again guys, after further review....the other image was way too out of focus. It was taken while getting prepared to get the 'final' shot. Oh well. This image is in focus at the very bottom, and has become soft all the way through. It was good concept, but, since we got a few days of warm weather the opportunity is gone. Just another image to hone our critiquing skills.
