I posted similar images a few months ago - here's a new one from that set.
Please feel free to comment on or critique any aspect of this image- thx!

I think this one's good because you tried to make it not as busy. There's less distractions in this image, but I think there's still one big one in it for me. I think if you cropped the other side of the shore off, but left the bridge it would look better. Your eye wouldn't get dragged up there, and you could focus on the road and the neon sign. They should fix that, because filling in the blanks it looks like "Farine Five Asses" lol.

Compositionally, your point is well taken Realist - a crop might make it stronger - Thx for the suggestion!

In my defense, lol, I cropped it in camera this way because I liked seeing those lights in the background as the day ends...and it reminds me that Montreal is an Island.

Are you sure this isn't the same one we saw before? I really like the shot except for the smoke that's blurring due to the long exposure. It looks like a smudge on the glass or something and I find it quite distracting. Other than that I really like the shot.

Ahhhh, right! D'oh. I like 'em both, really. I like the top one better because I really like the depth it provides with the bridge and the lights on the other side of the river. I like the bottom one better because the headlight/taillight lines are better defined and lead you through the image.

I like em both as well.
The one I just posted now is busier compositionally but as a Montrealer, I just love the way it shows different elements of the city along with the moving traffic.
