Here is a shot I set up (had my brother click the shutter) and edited while hitting a personal record deadlift at the gym...

It was taken with my iPhone...I haven't really picked up my canon much since I got a smartphone....

Cool composition and awesome to beat a personal best but you didn't tell us what the personal best was? Inquiring minds want to know... 245?

At the time, my personal best was 215, but since this photo, I have increased it to 5 sets of 5 reps at 240, with a final set of 250 to failure...

Also like the angle, how you've incorporated the ceiling. If I tried that I know my back wouldn't hold up!

I'm thinking you are not trying this any time soon but if you do, don't use your back!

Iguanasan, the deadlift is most certainly a full body exercise. It starts with a hefty push from the legs, but using your entire back half, you move into the position I was in in the photo from a semi squat position.

Oh, and as an aside, I totally obliterated a personal goal to deadlift my body weight before my wife delivers our little girl...(due in July)... My final set on Wednesday's workout, I pulled 265 off the floor for four clean reps! 6 pounds heavier than my last weigh in!

Love it! The expression/moment captured, along with the gritty pp really works for this.

A BIG congrats on the personal bests that you have recently achieved here also Justin.
