Hi everyone. I was in Jamaica for a 'destination wedding' - my nephew - during the last week in May. What an amazing place! The farthest south I've been to, up till then, had been Springfield, Vermont. I brought a few camera lenses - 200mm & Macro lens in case I had time to shoot some birds, reptiles or insects. I decided that for general snapshots, I'd just carry around my 7 inch BlackBerry Playbook tablet which has a 10 megapixel camera in it. Since the exposures are auto - no manual controls - I found it an interesting project. Here are my favourite images.

a, Road stop on the way to the resort.

b, Flowers everywhere.

e, Palm Trees - I was surprised at the variety of palm tree species.

Here are a few more shots. The third image is of the 'chapel' at dawn.

Nice shots! That tablet did a good job for you. I like the sunset shot and the beach scene with the chairs in the background.

Looks like a great place for a wedding. I like the last 2 best.

Very nice, and agree as to the last two being the winners for me also.
That tablet captured some nice detail as seen in the tiled roof in a couple shots. Well done.

Thanks, everyone. Yes, I was very pleased with the tablet camera's performance. The main reason for using it was that I was constantly shooting short video clips (with the tablet's video camera) of the trip and wedding so I could try to put together a film for the families.
